Intellectual Property Right Cell

Intellectual property (IP) refers to various distinct types of creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images, and designs; for which a set of exclusive rights like copyrights, trademarks, patents, industrial design rights and trade secrets are recognized under the corresponding fields of law.

An Intellectual Property Right (IPR) Cell has been formed in Nirmala Arts and Science College to look after the activities related to the Intellectual Property of the Institution and also to create awareness among faculties and the students of the Institution.


To become a world class Centre for the creation of human resources in the field of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and to establish systems for seamless integration of IPR in the Knowledge Value Chain in an evolving framework.


Nirmala College Intellectual Property Rights Cell aims to evolve into a Centre of excellence in fields related to IPR Education, innovation management integrated with IPR within an educational Framework, protection of traditional knowledge and practices for socio-economic development, and contributing to the development and implementation of IPR Policy in the regional and national context.
